NZ PM holds discussion with DyCM Shinde on various issues

Mumbai, Mar 19 (UNI) New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, who is on a visit to city, eagerly learned from Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday about the changing face of Mumbai and the ongoing development works.
Today, Governor C P Radhakrishnan hosted a luncheon in honour of Prime Minister of New Zealand in Raj Bhavan.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister also discussed various topics with the Deputy Chief Minister.
Shinde informed the visiting Prime Minister about the plans to make Mumbai slum-free and provide houses to common people in this metropolis, as well as the steps taken to increase the economic potential of Mumbai, which is the growth engine of the country.
The Prime Minister was also curious to know how Mumbai's interior is being cleaned mainly through campaigns like Deep Clean.
The Deputy Chief Minister spoke about how the coastal road, Atal Setu in Mumbai has improved the traffic system and how the metro is improving the daily passenger traffic. The issue of environment is important, and the Prime Minister of New Zealand also inquired earnestly about the measures being taken in this regard.
The two also discussed topics like how yoga should be spread from the health point of view.
On this occasion, the high-level delegation, accompanying the Prime Minister, also participated in discussions on various topics including green energy, sports, education, agricultural technology, fisheries.
