The All-India Bank Strike on March 20 is now inevitable!

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Mar 19 (UNI) The All-India Bank of Maharashtra Employees Federation (AIBMEA) on Wednesday backed the nationwide strike called by the United Forum of bank Unions (UFBU) on March 20 to press for a host of demands including adequate recruitment of employees at all levels.
The strikers have also demanded resolution of employee-related issues through bilateral negotiations, and compliance with labour laws, high court orders and other regulations.
An official media statement said a meeting was held with the Regional Labor Commissioner in Mumbai to discuss these issues, but the "management's stubborn attitude" stalled any possibilities of resolution, making the strike on March 20 unavoidable.
On March 20, the union will organise protests, demonstrations, and rallies across the country. After the strike, banking services will resume on March 21, but will be closed again on March 22 and 23, following the weekly holiday. UNI VKB XC SSP
