Patna, Mar 25 (UNI) Bihar assembly passed the wood based industry bill 2025 and Bihar Cooperative Society (Amendment) Bill 2025 amid a walkout by the opposition on Tuesday.
Moving the bill, Bihar Cooperative Minister Prem Kumar said that the government was empowering the weaker sections of the society, including women, backward, scheduled caste, and scheduled tribes, and various community organisations were cooperating in the mission.
Highlighting the achievements of the self help group and Jeevika Didi, the Minister said that the government would frame a state-level specific financial institution which would help in empowering the weaker sections by providing them financial assistance.
