Green budget for 2025-26 increases by 12.77 percent in Bihar

Patna, Mar 24 (UNI) Bihar government has allocated an estimated Rs 15,588.28 crore for the Green Budget in the financial year 2025-26 which is 12.77 percent more than the financial year 2024-25 when the Green budget was Rs 13,823.39 crore.
Bihar Finance Minister Samrat Choudhary tabled the Green Budget 2025-26 during the pre-lunch sitting in the state assembly on Monday which accounts for 1.42 percent of the state's gross state domestic product and 4.92 percent of the state's total budget.
Later Choudhary said here that the adoption of the Green Budget by Bihar expresses the broader national commitment towards sustainable development.
