Prisoner escapes from Chhapra Divisional jail

Chapra, March 31 (UNI) An under-trial prisoner, Nitesh Kumar dodged the police and escaped Chhapra divisional jail in Saran district.
Police said here on Monday that Nitesh Kumar of Goriya Kothi police station area in Siwan district was arrested on March 18 and sent to jail under judicial custody, from where he escaped late Sunday night.
Nitesh had also escaped from the main gate of the jail in 2023. Raids were on to nab the prisoner.
