700 model schools in Bihar inspected simultaneously, weekly monitoring to follow

Patna, Sept 30 (UNI) A comprehensive inspection of 700 model schools, developed as Saraswati Vidya Niketans across Bihar, was conducted simultaneously today as part of efforts to strengthen academic standards and ensure effective implementation of educational facilities.
The inspection covered 32 schools in Patna district. Designated nodal officers reviewed academic activities, basic infrastructure, teaching arrangements and the facilities being provided to students. The officers also assessed the functioning of Bihar School Live Classes Coaching, being conducted to help students prepare for competitive examinations, along with the utilisation of available educational resources.
Following directions from the Education Department, nodal officers will now conduct regular inspections of their respective schools once every week. The move is aimed at ensuring continuous monitoring of academic and administrative arrangements in the model schools.
Parent-teacher meetings were also organised at all the model schools during the inspection. Discussions focused on students'' academic performance and learning progress. Officials urged parents to participate actively in school activities and support their children''s studies.
The next parent-teacher meeting will be held after three months.
Officials said regular monitoring, active participation of teachers and greater involvement of parents were essential to sustain academic improvements in the model schools.
