AP: Police take out motorcycle rally to create awareness on helmet wearing

Kakinada, May 25 (UNI) The smart city Traffic police took out an impressive motorcycle rally in the main streets of the city here on Sunday to create awareness among the people on helmet wearing and also on Yoga practice for health.
Traffic circle inspectors N Ramesh and D .Ramarao led the rally in which the TVS showroom members, police personnel and some students participated.
The Traffic police Inspectors said the rally was organised under the orders of district Superintendent of police Garikipati Bindu Madhav with a view to reduce the ever-increasing road accidents by creating awareness among two-wheeler drivers.
The rally was also organised as a part of the forthcoming International Yoga Day celebrations, they added.
The Motorcycle rally has converged into a public meeting at the beach where the traffic inspectors have warned the two-wheeler drivers against the dangers of triple riding, doing stunts on motorcycles and driving with modified silencers.
The traffic inspectors also advised them against driving while talking on the cell phone as it was dangerous and leads fatal accidents.
