Maha: Youth dies in firing incident in Shirur

Pune, Sep 18 (UNI) A young man died after unidentified men allegedly fired at him in Shirur city today morning, triggering panic and concern among residents.
The deceased has been identified as Hari Gangawane, who reportedly died on the spot after being shot.
According to preliminary information, the incident took place in Shirur city in the morning. The firing occurred suddenly, leaving people in the area shocked.
Soon after receiving information about the firing, police personnel rushed to the spot and began investigation. The area was inspected and CCTV footage from the vicinity was being examined as part of efforts to trace the perpetrator behind the attack.
The incident was reportedly captured on a CCTV camera, and the footage is expected to help police identify the assailant and establish the sequence of events.
The motive behind the firing has not yet been established. Police are investigating whether the incident was linked to a previous dispute, personal enmity or any other reason.
Technical evidence and CCTV recordings are also being examined to identify the suspect.
The incident has caused considerable tension in Shirur, with residents expressing concern over the firing taking place in the city in the morning.
Police have launched a manhunt to nab the assailant.
