NCP’s Sarang calls for unity, organisational discipline amid internal differences

Mumbai, Oct 8 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-Ajit Pawar) vice-president Salim Sarang on Thursday urged party workers and office-bearers to maintain organisational discipline and raise internal differences through appropriate party forums instead of making public statements against senior leaders.
Sarang said every party should consider the experience, political contribution and organisational role of senior leaders before making public comments on their decisions.
If there are differences of opinion, workers should discuss on the party platform. Public statements on internal matters can create unnecessary confusion and affect the organisation, he added.
Sarang stated that senior NCP leader Sunil Tatkare has extensive political and organisational experience and is working to strengthen the party. He appealed to party workers to focus on unity and organisational activities rather than allowing differences to become a public issue.
Referring to attempts by some workers and office-bearers to raise issues concerning the senior leadership, Sarang said such developments should be handled through internal discussions.

He also recalled the leadership of late Ajit Pawar, saying that he had worked to strengthen the party by bringing people together.
Furthermore, the NCP vice-president also appealed to party workers and office-bearers to exercise restraint in their public statements and give priority to strengthening the organisation.
