Sharad Pawar assures Purandar farmers over drought crisis

Pune, Oct 2 ( UNI) Senior leader Sharad Pawar has assured farmers in Purandar that he will personally meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and raise their concerns over the severe drought-like situation prevailing in several parts of the state.
Pawar, who is currently on a visit to Purandar, interacted with farmers and heard their grievances. He said the drought situation in some districts was extremely serious and that several talukas had still been left out of the government's drought-affected list.
"Purandar is among the talukas that have been left out of the drought list. These areas must be included. I will meet Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and put your problems before him," Pawar told the farmers.
