Maha: Former associate files ED complaint against Jarange accusing him of Rs 1,000 crore scam

Mumbai, Sep 11 (UNI) A former associate of Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil, called Ajay Baraskar, has filed a complaint with the Enforcement Directorate (ED), accusing Jarange and some of his associates of allegedly having accumulated around Rs 1,000 crore, by indulging in illegalities.
The development came even as Jarange stated today, on the 14th day of his hunger strike, that he and his supporters would head towards Mumbai, in order to sit on an infinite hunger strike at Azad Maidan, in South Mumbai. On earlier occasions, Jarange had also threatened to sit on an indefinite hunger strike right in front of ‘Varsha’, the official residence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Jarange is expected to take a final decision regarding his march towards Mumbai, on Saturday, September 12, and convey it to his followers.

Kolhapur/Sindhudurg, Sep 18 (UNI) State Marathi language and Industry Minister Uday Samant has said the 'Kavitanche Gaon' (village of poems) initiative in Ubhadanda, celebrated as the birthplace of legendary Marathi poet Mangesh Padgaonkar, will be given a bright appearance befitting the name, and development works will be accelerated in the next two months.
Talking with reporters after inspecting the 'Kavitanche Gaon' in Ubhadanda in Sindhudurg district today, Minister Samant said that the necessary funds will be made available for this.
