K. Manikandan’s ‘Makkal Kaavalan’ set for worldwide release on December 4

Mumbai, Sep 30 (UNI) K. Manikandan will take on his first leading role in an action drama with "Makkal Kaavalan", which is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 4. The release date was announced on Manikandan's birthday.
Following the theatrical success of "Baisan Kalamadan," "Makkal Kaavalan" is the next collaboration between Birla Studios and Neelam Studios.
Written and directed by Santosh Kumar, the film tells the story of a common man who wants to live a life of dignity but, faced with a corrupt system, is faced with the choice of either remaining silent or raising his voice against it.
The story depicts how an ordinary man, in his struggle to save his own life, gradually becomes a voice for the people and fights to protect them. The film also highlights a man's dreams and his determination to move forward despite difficult circumstances.
Manikandan, who has starred in films like "Good Night," "Lover," and "Kudumbasthan," will be seen playing the lead role in an action drama for the first time. He began his career with writing, dubbing, and supporting roles.
The film also stars Vagai Chandrasekhar, A. Venkatesh, R.K. Vijayamurugan, Shanmugam Muthusamy, Sabumon, Unni Maya, Divya Sripada, Jenson Dhivakar, Lallu, Gemini Mani and Raghu in important roles.
The film's cinematography is by Prathipan Selvaratnam, editing by Arul Moses, and production design by Pappanadu C.U. Uthayakumar. Stunt direction is by Don Ashok, sound design by Anthony Jayaruban, costume design by Sureshkumar, and makeup by Ramachandran. Nivars K. Prasanna is composing the music for the film once again after "Bison Kalamadan." UNI NST CDS
